Consuelo Bergere Kenney Althouse is a Director of Photography, Artist and Documentarian. Consuelo has lensed narrative features, art installations and documentaries throughout North America, Europe, Cuba, Japan, Russia, South America, East, West and South Africa. Her still and motion photography has screened in theaters worldwide, as well as in multimedia spaces including the MoMA, MOCA, Tate, Art Basel, the Whitney and the Hammer.  She received her MFA in Cinematography through The American Film Institute Conservatory in Los Angeles, where her thesis was nominated for the Student Academy Award.

Consuelo’s specialties include longitudinal nonfiction storytelling, ranging from intimate individualistic portraiture to tabulated ethnography for the Library of Congress. In 2017, Consuelo was invited to give a TEDx talk in Valencia, Spain titled "Lensing Trust: A Cinematographer's Perspective". In 2024 she served as a documentary feature jury member for EnergaCAMERIMAGE International Film Festival in Torun, Poland.

Consuelo is an associate member of the Society of Camera Operators and a member of the International Cinematographers Guild.

Originally from in Santa Fe, NM, Consuelo currently resides out of LA and her studio “314” in downtown Santa Fe.
